Folks:
I would like to use LINUX to build a voice link between repeaters.
Initially I want to use some wireless LAN gear for the RF link.
I have in hand sound cards, several mother boards, and all the
needed hardware to build up a small LINUX box for each end,
Is there software available for LINUX that would allow me to build
the devices that go between the voice repeater on each end that
will handle the conversion and routing of the voice data out on the
wireless LAN gear.
I have some 4 wire audio paths off of the repeater controller and
remote base link control lines on the same, the idea is to allow
those to signal to the LINUX box when to bring up the path and
start shipping VoIP packets out to the network. If others of you
have done this I would be quite interested in how you have done
it.
The next step will then be to build some sort of conference server
to handle multiple connections.
