    As I mentioned above I have tested with every different mode the BIOS has.
    I have also made a cable w/ a little less than 1mt length to verify if the
    problem was in length. The first cable I used had 1.80mt but works
    perfectly with computer #3 (refer to original message)

    As I wrote in the original message is that it seems that using kernel
    driver like this:
    insmod parport
    insmod parport_pc io=0x378 irq=7 dma=3
    insmod baycom_epp iobase=0x378 mode="extclk intmodem extstat divider=16"
    ifconfig ... up

      The EPPFlex doesn't seem to be in 76800 speed because it doesn't react
    to the other modem packets.
