    Netrom interfaces are static in nature. Those four will always show up
    with "ifconfig -a" as long as the netrom code is present in the kernel
    (ie. compiled in or module loaded). Now if you drop the "-a" then you only
    see interfaces that are not "UP" and "RUNNING", in other words active. You
    can make an active interface inactive with "ifconfig <iface> down".
