    I don't know about the PTC-II but your the has to run either in
    kiss or 6pack mode, otherwise it will not run with linux ax.25.
    Hostmode will not work with kernel-ax.25. You can run TNT, however.

    If it is in kissmode, be sure to do a:
      modprobe mkiss
    before trying to use kissattach.

    I have a simple howto at http://1409.org/projects/ax25-config.html.
    It is already slightly outdated, though. But it is shorter and
    newer than the ax25-howto, it covers only what you can install
    using ax25-config.

    Another hint: try to get pure ax25 running first, don't bother with
    netrom. Once you are running plain ax25, netrom is not a big problem.

    Don't worry about that, if you don't know what it is, you're not using
    it.
