Hello Hans-Peter, adn thank you for your kind answer to my question.
I can see what you mean. But will this not try to set the TNC -here the
SCS PTC-II- into kissmode. AFAIK the PTC-II cannot run in kissmode, but
hostmode. But no its the kissattach that made it able to talk to a
kissmode
tnc. Am I right ??. I use here the SuSE 6.3 with kernel 2.2.13.

Ok abt. the 'Replace'. Could you please show me the netrom you have also
