    Are you sure those ports really are active? Do you see them as "UP" and
    "RUNNING" with ifconfig? Also have you assigned an IP address to them? You
    need to do that also if you don't intend to run TCP/IP. Use fake addresses
    from the 192.168.0.0 private network if you don't have an official amprnet
    address or don't want to use it.
