    Hi linux-hams,

I wrote a while back about testing newqpsk on the air. I never
did anything about it, but this time I will.

Here's what I propose to do:

I will run NEWQPSK (Tomi's Linux AX.25 implementation)
between roughly 2100Z Monday and 0700Z Tuesday, and again
    2100Z Tuesday to 0700Z Wednesday.

The frequency will be 21.145 MHz USB. Suggestions are welcome
for better frequencies; 20m is too busy though so I don't want
    to go there.

The callsign will be VK3SB. Incoming connections will go to
ttylink. Unfortunately I'll be at work and won't be around to chat,
but you can at least connect. I might try to get a mailbox running
in the future. The IP address will be 192.168.100.1, so you can
try IP if you like (over plain AX.25, no NET/ROM etc).

I am using the 2500 bps rate with fec level 3, NEWQPSK 0.04.
Will anyone be able to try to connect, or should I put this off
till another time? (Power output here will be about 100W, and
I'll run a beacon with 3 minutes between transmissions.)

Also, I'm getting a lot of "sound overrun" messages from
the soundmodem. The test PC is a Pentium 200; too slow?

Hope to work some of you on NEWQPSK. If it works out I'd
like to try something while I'm at home and can chat back.

    Hamish
