Yes, ZipHam is slackware-based. So, maybe, the better think you could
do is to get a full Slackware distribution, so that you will be able
to use all the other tools not directly included in ZipHam.
Not sure you can use the 'setserial' binary from RedHat, anyway,
I don't know anything about Slackware ;-)
There's also a board dedicated to ZipHam, I think you should be
able to get more specific answers there :
