Dear Hams,
I'm not quite sure if this is the correct newsgroup, please correct me if so !
I have the following question :
I'm running a DOS arps digi station for a couple of weeks now. This is operating on 144.800, 1k2.
Seen the high antenna position, this works even better as expected.
But now i would like to expand, and my mind came across a 9k6 G3RUH modem , now operating on normal packet freqs. I would like to switch this modem to a APRS freq.
The trx and modem will have no problem with that, but my question is : Can anybody confirm that the mobile stations are able to use 9k6 when travelling ? If you look at the specs at Kenwood's , the tnc is a 1k2 / 9k6 .....
Are there any hams using 9k6 for aprs ?
Please give me some feedback,
Ron Jochems
