off course you can connect it, just make sure the rx/tx/ptt leads are connected to the correct pins on the scc kart... They differ from com-port pins.
also a problem which i found was that the opto-couplers which are on my (original) scc card messed up my ptt... I guess that you don't have opto-couplers on your self-build card and you don't have this problem.
After all all is working fine and lot's better than on com-ports ..

I have just built an SCC card and want to check if it is working. The only packet modem that I have available is a Baycom 1200 baud. Can I connect the Baycom modem directly to the SCC card?
