If you still have the old system and its files intact, you could use pkzip
to zip them all up, place the file in the proper place on the linux machine
and use the -L option of linux unzip.
I have converted upper to lower with 'tr' i cant find the script i had for
it at the minute, it was if i remember quite simple.
tr [A-Z] [a-z]
was what i used i belive, + a small for statement to list and mv the
filenames.
