My apology in advance if this is the wrong list for this type of inquiry.
It should perhaps be in linux-newbie, but it is ham related!
I'm running Red Hat 6.0, kernel 2.2.5-22
I've downloaded and untared "predict" into /tmp/predict.
I have the ncurses 4.2 library but can't find any sign of pthreads! It may
be on the distro disk (APC Revised ed Linux Pocket Book.) but I can't find
it there either.
On running ./install as explained in the README I get this error message.
(almost immediately!)
one moment please... installer.c: 7: curses.h: no such file or directory
./install: ./installer: no such file or directory
And install aborts.
From the ncurses docs I am under the impression that ncurses replaces
curses, and so am a little puzzled.I expected an error when install looked
for pthreads but not for curses.
The questions are...
Where do I look for pthreads(.lib?)? Is it on the distr as an RPM?
Whats with the curses/ncurses error?
Hope someone can help or point me to some help.
Norm, VK2XCI.
