Hello,
I am reading the discussion about renewal of the Linux AX.25 with a very high
interest.
One suggestion: I think that many people like me simply can't understand what
we are talking about due to the lack of _documentation_ of what is already
there.
Allthough I greatly appreciate all the efforts on improving AX.25 support in
Linux, I regret that there is no information about its structure and features
available.
If we had only a coarse survey, I guess a lot more people could help us with
useful suggestions. I am thinking of all the programmers out there trying to
write software for Linux AX.25....
As the maintainer of the german version of the AX.25-HOWTO (and, if nobody
has something against that) the english retranslation of that document, I am
herewith offering support in sorting that information and melting it together
into a, let's say, AX.25 programming HOWTO.
But, unfortunately, my own programming knowledge is rather poor. Assistance
from the gurus here is therefore very important.
Cheers,
Gerd
