I would be very grateful for help with the following problem - I am
relatively in-experienced with Linux !

I have spent a lot of time reading and re-reading the how-tos and
scanning Usenet via dejanews but I am still unable to find a
solution.

I am using SuSE 6.0 (2.0.36) and have complied the BAYCOM
serial driver into the Kernel.

I used a rpm (from SuSE) which is ax25-util-2.1.4.2a-12.and the
version of call (from call -v) is ax25-utils-2.1.42a -11 Aug 1997

The Baycom modem and kernel appears to work as I can monitor
local packet traffic using the listen command. However when I try
to use the call program I have problems.
I call my bc0 port "radio" with callsign G1PVZ-1in etc/ax25/axport
file.

I have used the following commands-

setserial /dev/ttyS2 uart none
sethdlc -p -i bc0 mode ser12 io 0x3e8 irq 9
ifconfig bc0 hw ax25 G1PVZ-1 up

When I type the command

call radio GB7YEO

I get the following

GW4PTS AX.25 Connect V1.11

bind: Invalid argument.

Many thanks,

James Vincent G1PVZ
