I've got the problem sorted out now -- nothing that couldn't be fixed
with a good text editor and a C compiler! I'm not sure why smmixer
won't let you set the input gain, but my copy does now. I have packet working
on the sbpro now. I have fired off an email to Tom Sailer to find out
if there was a reason why smmixer did not support this.
When the squelch opens the audio seems to take a long time to ramp
up to a useful level. I can't decode packets from a local repeater
which seems to have a very small tx delay. I have to operate with
the squelch open. I don't mind too much but it would be good to know
what causes the long ramp up time. Anyone else seen this?
