I noticed something a bit weird;

[11:16pm] hamish@hamishpc:~> date
Fri Jun 4 23:16:24 EST 1999
[11:16pm] hamish@hamishpc:~> env TZ=UTC date
Fri Jun 4 13:16:27 UTC 1999

but mtrack tells me it is one hour earlier ie 12:16:44 UTC.
My time offset is set to 0 according to the preferences window.
We are not on daylight savings here.
