With the exception of the 19k2 desires, the YAM fills the bill for the
1k2 and 9k6 speeds for packet using Linux. I have a YAM that has been
running with Linux networking for amateur radio tcp/ip since last
November as part of the Puget Sound TCP/IP Network (See
http://www.wetnet.ampr.org). It has worked flawlessly, was easy to set
up, and does well in our network. The YAM requires a firmware download
to it from your PC everytime you boot up or reconfigure your network for
the LAN the YAM is operating on.

If you must have 19k2 or higher, I recommend PacComm's Tiny-2, Mk-2 with
their MC-NB96 DFM Modem Card. The modem card has the feature of
plugging in additional option header for the desired baud rate (choice
of 4k8, 9k6, 19k2, 38k4, or 57k6). I have this system as well forone of
my LANs, however I have not tried my 19k2 option yet.
