Such a thing does exist.
it is called dxc written by an italian ham.
it uses the kernel-ax.25 interface and is quite sophisticated.
one of the nice features is to run different scripts for certain events.
you can send yourself email or play wave files when 50mhz spots arrive
for example.
the only thin it is lacking is WWV spot support.
i hacked this in but dupechecking of WWV does not work so if someone
more C-experienced
could probably have a quick look at the source ...
