Differences in behavior

Once I asked, now I insist. Maybe it is that way, maybe it can be
improved.

At CO2JA I am using Slackware 3.3, with kernel 2.0.36, ax25-utils-
2.0.42a and XFBB 7.00g25

At CO9BQQ I am using RedHat 4.2 with kernel 2.0.36, ax25-utils-
2.1.42a and XFBB 7.00g25

At CO2JA I can get color ls, but when I run listen it only accepts
-at as arguments. Paging with FBB is limited to 4 lines per page
with xfbbC 7.00g22. Telnet works, with normal paging, no problems.
So, I use telnet rather than xfbbC as console connection.

At CO9BQQ I get no color ls, but listen accepts -atcr8 as arguments.
And FBB has normal paging either via telnet or with xfbbC 7.00g25.
xfbbC is perfectly usable, with full features.

What can (or should) I do to get listen -atcr8 to work with
Slackware, or paging to work properly with xfbbC 7.00g22 ?
BTW, it was that way with FBB 7.00g21 and 23, so it is not new with
7.00g25.

Maybe someone my feel these are basic questions, but I still have
been unable to find the answers so far.

Thanks in advance for any hints,
