John:

I still have a truckload of doubts with this stuff, but I am making
some use of it. I am accessing the node via telnet at port 4000 from
my keyboard, and does well. You must include node at port 4000 in
/etc/services. I might be forgetting some specific detail that might
review if you are interested. It is discussed in the AX25-HOWTO.
So I telnet localhost 4000 and I am connected to my local node.

I am running a "BPQ-lookalike" setup. Something I still do not grasp
is the need to run a netrom node for each application connected to the
node (I am running three of them, one real and two pseudo netroms, as
per the Netrom-Node mini howto) but it is working fine.
