Isn't the * also used for indicating you want to listen for our callsign as part of the digipeater list, for
ROSE ?

I seem to remember that:

[G4KLX* VIA 144]

was the syntax for that option.

I don't think the ROSE people need wildcard listening although it probably wouldn't hurt to allow it, i.e.

[G4KLX-$* VIA * ]

which is probably the worst case. And if so, proves the need to use other than a * for it.
