Using what for a terminal program? Minicom doesn't seem to pass it and, as
far as I can tell, the ALT192...etc sequence is from a DOS keyboard mapping
scheme, not
one that Linux is familiar with.

Don't tell me what the manual says, as I have the same manual. Tell me what
DOES work!
