The message under the signature says it all!
PMS was a simple demo originally distributed with ax25-utils.
You had to edit the source code to put in your own callsign and stuff.
I wanted a simple mailbox for my own use, so I made PMS a bit more
configurable, resulting in the version you see today.
At one time, the ax25-utils maintainer dropped PMS from the distribution.
Then I sent in some patches, and he added it back in. It hasn't changed
since then though, and I certainly don't use it anymore. Think of PMS
as the one little broken MSDOS-like part, a problem left to solve :^)
