install the second card then recompile the kernel to load up the 2 cards as
modules. If they are different cards then its easy to work out an order to
which they will be loaded and used but if they are the same then you should
make the command line say something specific eg.
modprobe ne io=0x300 this would be card number 1 (eth0)
modprobe ne io=0x280 this would be card number 2 (eth1)
then just fill in your rc.inet1 file as normal
