Hi Mike,

| The artical indicated that there was an HDLC inside the FPGA. The TAPR
| articalalso talked a little about the software interface and how to write
| drivers.

Yup, my question was rather what is actually done in the hdlcdrv driver layer,
I had an answer from Tom saying:

| ../.. I'm thinking of getting rid of hdlcdrv
| in the future myself. Except for the CRC table which should
| be shared (btw. also by ISDN etc.), there is not too much point
| in hdlcdrv...

Whether Frederic figured that or got inspired by the 2.0.x baycom.c earlier
version I'm going to ask him ;-)

BTW a good pointer to the YAM modem is Nico's site:

Enjoy,
