For PIC16C84 I have used Picasm (http://www.iki.fi/trossi/pic/) and
Picprog (http://www.iki.fi/hyvatti/pic/picprog.html). The latter needs a
small kernel patch (included in the distribution) to work but it then
works UFB with a simple serial port interface (that is also compatible
with some DOS based programmers).

The assembler by the way includes a nice CW ID generator as example
source. (Which makes this posting on-topic... not. :-)
