Hi all,

Reinstalling everything from a 2.1.43 kernel to a 2.0.35 one, I have troubles
to get my PICPAR modem to work.

After issuing the commands:

modeprobe ax25
modeporbe hdlcdrv
modeprobe baycom mode="par96" iobase=0x378 irq=7
ifconfig bc0 44.151.91.41 arp up

There are no interrupts in /proc/interrupt concerning the modem,
the counter stays at "0" on irq 7.
The further ax25 "call" commands do echo in the listen -a display,
but nothing coming in.

Any attempt to sethdlc -i bc0 mode par96 io 0x378 irq 7 produces
an error message "the network in off (100)"

What am i doing wrong, the same set of commands works with 2.1.43.

Thanks for any info,
