Hello Pete, Please use Linux cut and paste to get the entire ping sequence
including the summary that is made after you Ctrl-c the ping off. Also
send the exact line you type to make a ping.

I use ping -i 10 node all the time so that the pings only come out every
10 seconds. This is important since it takes 6-8 seconds to ping through 6
nodes!
