AEA PK-12 with Linux.

I'm trying to setup an AEA PK-12 TNC on a Linux box. The serial port
checked okay using a Kantronics Packet Communicator 3, which is to say, I
am getting the "cmd:" prompt and we can "talk" with the Kantronics. But,
the PK-12 only responds with ".ORT." each time we turn it on, and this TNC
is not issuing a command prompt. We're using minicom to try and get the
PK-12 into the KISS mode. Questions:
1. Is there a way to do a hardware reset if we don't have a command
prompt from the PK-12?
2. Once we have the prompt, what are the commands for getting the
PK-12 into the KISS mode?
Our distribution is S.u.S.E. 5.2, and at this point, we're using only
software that came with this distribution. Your help would be greatly
appreciated!
