It depends on your interests, analog HF guys tell me they find
it easier to build the transceivers :-)

The bandwidth is approx 200kHz. In Germay there's one such fullduplex
channel allocated in the 70cm band for access to the backbone, which
is planned to run in the 6cm band (some links are already running for
some time...)
