As to why you get this i dont know, however i thougt at first it would be
your TERM enviroment being set to something other than linux, which is
defined in /etc/termcap, however i changed my enviroment but call still
works.
You can check to see what your default TERM is with;
echo $TERM
The command set will show the whole enviroment.
You could simply enter the command;
TERM=linux
and see what happens.
Other than that i am at a loss.
