nice simple one for some one , but its giving me grief,!!
kernel 2.0.53 rh 5.0 ,
I am now useing more kernel routing, more stable than tnos on its own,
routing through the kernel to the front end and port is ok
routing from the ethernrt port eth0 is misbehaving..
i can telnet from another machine to the kernel ,but it takes some time.
I cant get beyond the kernel to the front end, looking at a trace i can
see that the kernel is not replying to an arp request for the hardware
address of the ethernet card .
i've added to rc.local where the ethernet port is started
/sbin/arp -s <kernel add> < card hw address> pub
still the same problem
the routing statment is simple "route add 44.13.90.31 eth0"
the routing statment in the ax25 routing and port config file is "route
add 44.131.90.31 gw 44.131.90.2" 90.2 is the kernel
Where's the mistake ???
thanks in advance
