Well i dont have Debian, but i do have 3 machines all running 2.0.35 with
ax25-utils-2.1.42a, one slackware system 3.3 and 2 redhat 4.2 systems, all
works fine with those machines, there are no noteable differances between
2.0.34 and 2.0.35 concerning ax25 NET/ROM etc.

I realise this is of no help to your problem, its just to let you know it
"might" be Debian spesific, considering what i have written.
