This has been batted around for a bit so I'd like to offer the following
URLs to the Linux Documentation Project and sunsite:
http://sunsite.unc.edu/LDP/HOWTO/mini/ZIP-Install.html
http://sunsite.unc.edu/LDP/HOWTO/mini/ZIP-Drive.html
The directions are pretty straight forward and work well. It's kind of
hard to offer ideas about getting your particular Zip drive to work
since there is a the IDE, ATAPI, and SCSI versions of the drive. Just a
few points on this: does your kernel have support for the parallel Zip?
are you passing the correct parameters to the kernel regarding your SCSI
adapter, does the kernel have ATAPI disk support compiled into it. Also
whether these have been compiled at modules or directly.
But, the LDP pages offer solutions to all these dilemmas. If troubles
still arise let us know what the specifics are for your configuration.
Cheers,
Sean
