There are so many file handlers for Unix it doesn't make a lot of
sense to write code to do it. But it has been done. I went to
sunsite.unc.edu and in the /pub/Linux/??? directory found 2 or 3 logging
programs. None were as nice as the "CT" written for 8086 DOS computers.

I am learning to program in C and it does occur to me that a nice
first project might be a data base for things like ham call signs and
locations and such. C has tools to do this and structure is a topic I take
up in the next chapter.

Making it a X program may take longer...:-(
