Perhaps it would be best to first just output from netrom_call to
a simple xterm window and send to netrom_call from the same window. I have
done that with re-direction but you might want a better way.

The C code looks bad if you do it that way because you must count
EXACTLY how many characters your transfering and make sure space is
available. The code is long and confusing looking.
