Soundmodem problem solved!

Hello Thomas, hello all,

apparently, I solved my problem with SoundModem yesterday.
After I loaded and configured it with no error messages at all, the
familiar Packet Radio sound came out of the speakers that I had
attached for testing. Now I can go on playing with the several PTT control
circuits available.

What was the problem?
The parallel port driver (lp) was still loaded all the time. Fortunately,
I compiled lp as a module so I could rmmod it.
After doing this everything seems to work well.

So I can recommend everyone wo has problems with soundmodem to double
check if the parallel port driver isn't loaded. As mentioned in the
AX.25-HOWTO before section BayCom, it apparently prevents SoundModem from
working.

Cheers, 73
