No. I have used the combination for ages and it works fine.

Again a little more spesific failure report would have been in order.
Actual error messages, a listen dump etc...
Anyway just guessing that you get "invalid callsign" errors from
kissattach, call & co. and [invalid] callsings in listen. I have seen this
a couple of times in different places and haven't yet found a good
explanation to this. In one case the problem was pinpointed to a change in
libc version, a copy of the utilities compiled with a previous version of
libc behaved badly when used with newer libraries.
So I would suggest you try recompiling the utilities in the target system
if you haven't done that already. Of course if you have upgraded something
and something other ceases to work, recompiling should be one of the first
thing to come to mind so you probably have done that already. If that is
not the problem then I really don't know how to help.
