Hi everybody,

I can assure you the BayCom modem _WORKS_ with _SOME_ 16550A uarts. Iīm using one
right here. I have it working with both the char driver (2.0.x) and the net
driver (2.1.x).

I canīt give you any clue on which uarts work and which donīt. Mine
works OK, while one of my friendīs doesnīt work at all. It seems some
16550A clones arenīt 100% compatible with 16450s and 8250s (see the
warning in ser12_setdivider in baycom.c)

And I read somewhere that signal levels on the newer RS-232-C port lines are more
conforming to the RS-232-C standard and pose more problems to BayCom like
modems. This specially affects RX.

73īs.
