TX seems fine.
RX audio comes straight off the IF IC so is unsquelched.
ifconfig report 0 for all rx stats
I've set the z8530config file to 'ext' for that port.

1) When should ifconfig clock up rx errors (should the channel noise
keep them clocking when there's no signal ?)

2) should softdcd be on or off ?

3) If I've got a fault on the DF9IC board should RXClk be active just
when theres a valid signal or should channel noise also make this waggle
?

PS what is the recommended tx dev at 9k6 in 25kHz ?
I've currently set mine to +- 3.5kHz is this OK ?
