What I mentioned above has nothing to do with LILO whatsoever. It
referred to your comment that some newer motherboards may have a
"boot-from-SCSI" option. Indeed most new motherboards do. As long as
the boot code for your particular SCSI chipset is in the BIOS, you can
do that. Thinking about it a bit more, I expect that those new motherboards
with the Adaptec chipset built-in probably support booting from that device
as well. It is for those motherboards without SCSI built-in that I heard
you must have one of the NCR/Symbios chipsets on your SCSI card for it to
work.
