The big difference with the 2.0.xx kernels and 2.1.?x kernels is that the
latest uses the scc module as a net device and the [rx][tx]buffer
parameter from the /etc/z8530.conf has gone, and it is now that constand
defined to _only_ 8 (for both rx and tx packets i beleave).
Kernel 2.0.33 with z8530drv-2.4 utils has worked very satisfied here, but
at the moment the kernel (2.1.??) uses z8530drv-3.0.x utils where it seems
no longer possible to use any buffer parameter (which seems to be a
constand '8')
Perhaps the buffer parameter should/could reintroduced again?

Argh! All right, so how am I supposed to work with Linux when
everything's already been done?! Can't these people leave some
broken MSDOS like parts so there's problems left to solve!?....
