I dunno, I downloaded my copy over a 33.6 modem...It took a few hours,
but I just let it grind away in the middle of the night. I used "ncftp"
on Linux so that if something happened in the middle of the download, I
could piece it together from where it left off. BTW, it did stop
somewhere in the mid 20's, so I restarted it, and the patched-together
pieces still installed just fine.

That being said, my personal preference for ascii text editing is VI
(VIM/ELVIS, etc), and JED/XJED for editing source code (syntax
highlighting is nice even for people who program all the time!)
