So if you want to experiment, give yourself the right to use it. And hide
it from others. Thats what I do. I really don't see any point in hiding a
port from someone who knows it is there. And I don't see much point in
just hiding a port without also preventing its use either. It certainly
isn't giving any security...

However I have thought about implementing sort of "setuid aliases" that
would, when enabled, give a non-privileged user right to use a hidden
port, but only when called with the alias command in question.
