Netrom is realy quite easy to setup.
nrattach -i 44.xx.xx.xx -m236 netrom
This will need an /etc/ax25/nrports entry as follows.
netrom KD4ZKW-7 #NETNODE 236 netrom_port
Then:
ifconfig nr0 broadcast 44.255.255.255
Note that nrattach changes the name of the interface to nr0, just like
kissattach does for ax25 interfaces.
netromd -i -d -l -q220 -t30 &
All of the above are examples but i think it makes it clear what is needed,
they are for ax25utils-2.1.42a.
It is adviseable not to use the same ssid for ax25 and netrom interfaces.
You of course will need a kernel with either netrom in it or compiled as
a module.
More information can of course be found in Terry Dawson HOWTO at:
http://sunsite.unc.edu/LDP/HOWTO/AX25-HOWTO.html or possably on your own
system in something like: /usr/doc/HOWTO/AX25-HOWTO.gz
