You see both the ICMP Echo Request you sent and the ICMP Echo Reply the
other station sent? And yet it isn't seen by the ping program? Very
strange! I think it's time you give us a listen dump of the actual
situation. Use something like "listen -a > foobar" and include the file
foobar in your email.
