Everything on my linux system relative to the linux AX25-HOWTO has now been
installed and compiled including XFORMS and all is well.
So I have now started on the next step to activate my KAM+ on vanilla ax25.
1) The KAM+ was set to INTFACE KISS
2) /etc/ax25/axports as follows:-
radio1 VK3BCQ 4800 255 2 144.900 Mhz
3) /usr/sbin/kissattach /dev/ttyS1 radio1
4) /usr/sbin/kissparms -p radio1 -t 100 -s 100 -r 63

Now if I do a "ifconfig" as a check I get the following:
lo the normal standard
ax0 Link encap:AMPR AX.25 HWaddr VK3BCQ
Inet addr:192.168.0.1 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
etc..etc
I cannot work out where this is coming from.Because as above I have not done a
"ifconfig ax0.......".I,ve done a check across the system but darned if I
can find the cause.
The /usr/bin/call radio1 vk3xxx checks out OK.
My linux system as hostname of vk3bcq-1.ampr.org 44.136.73.150
Can someone put me right please
