Hi Filip,

It is a bit difficult to run ax25 with RedHat 5.0.
RedHat now uses glibc instead of libc and it is necessary to modify the list of included header files in the ax25-utils, tnt or dpbox sources. But after all the modifications ax25 is running ok.
This evening I will try to run CLX3.03 on my system. CLX needs libc 5.4.xx or newer, which is not included in RedHat 5.0. Maybe it will run with the glibc. Also the in RedHat 5.0 included PostgresSQL may cause troubles. I did not install this package.

Subject: Red Hat 5.0 issues ??

Several TCP/IP AX25 stations in Belgium want to
go to Linux instead of JNOS, TNOS, ...

Yesterday evening I tried an Installation of Red Hat 5.0
It looks great - and easy to install
(I didn't try the AX25 stuff yet - maybe this evening)

Are there any issues I should know about before I want
to do AX25 things with Red Hat ?

Until now I was using Slackware 3.4

Any tips concerning AX25 and RedHat 5.0 are welcome....

I will also be using xFBB and DXnet or CLX

TNX !
