Hello All

Nate Bargmann wrote re. XForms and Terry asked "What distribution puts X11
development libraries/
headers under /usr/* ?

In a previous msg I said I had had difficulties with compiling ax25-utils
-2.1.42a because it could not find the XForms library. I had obtained the
XForms tarred file direct from the Internet XForms site ( not from a
distributor) and, following the instructions in the un-tarred files, the
libraries were installed into /usr/lib and the include files into
/usr/lib/include.

I made ax25-utils compile cleanly by editing the "Makefile.include" file at
lines 8 & 9 after doing "make config" but before doing "make"

line 8 XF_LIB =/usr
line 9 XF_INC =/usr/lib/include

I was actually using Pete Rossi's ax25-utils-2.1.42b which includes
corrections in the rip98d files and it compiled cleanly.

I've put some operating queries under the subject " Soundmodem & XForms"
