I am trying to use the XForms commands to set-up my SB16 soundcard as a
soundmodem.
xfsmmixer works fine; a nice image with slider controls to adjust Tx &
Rx audio.
xfhdlcst works fine; a nice panel giving the value of parameters
xfhdlcchpar failed with msg: hdrvc_get_chanel_access_param: Bad file
number
xfsmdiag -i sm0 failed with msg:-
X Error of failed request: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 53 (X_Create Pixmap)
Resource id in failed request 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 417
Current serial number in output stream: 417
I am using Slackware 3.4, kernel 2.0.33 plus module-14f, net-tools-1.33
plus 'Rose patch' ax25-utils-2.1.42b (from Pete Rossi ) and editting the
file "Makefile.include" at lines 8 & 9 between the "make config" and the
"make" operations. I had configured the X11 Windows after compiling kernel
2.0.33, and had installed XForms immediately after X11.
Before trying the above xf* commands I had followed the instructions in
AX25 HOWTO to create the sm0 device. I had used the command "sethdlc -c 60"
to produce a calibration signal, and the slider control in "xfsmmixer -i
sm0" was excellant giving mouse control of the audio level. How can I
ensure that having suitabley adjusted the levels, they will be retained for
future use?
Any help would be much appreciated.
